Promise with a Rainbow

This last week we have seen more than 4 rainbows!! There have been two in particular that have lasted for more than 30 mins and were a complete arch!! They have been totally amazing!!! Hannah and I were driving home from Evandale and there was one that stayed the whole drive! At one stage it looked like we were about to drive under it but as it turned out you actually can't do that, they aren't "permanent" in one spot due to light reflections.... BUT...you probably already knew that!! (I actually did not!!)

This isn't the best picture of it, taken from the side of the road after we "almost" drove under it. Hannah and I were sooo blessed by this wonder and reminded us of all the promises that God has given us. I've never seen rainbows like the ones we have seen this week since living in Poatina, it's been spectacular!!

Wet Weather = Puddle splashing!

It has been a HUGELY WET DAY today! Rain and Wind and Rain and wind and... well you get the picture! I decided to take the girls out hunting for some puddles....... we found a beauty!!!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Once we were all effectively wet we walked back home to warm and dry in front of the toasty fire!
Turned out to be a pretty awesome wet day - YAY!

The Ice Age - Timeline Tuesday and History day!

We believe in the power of words, they can either speak life or death! SO when our family gets hit with constant amounts of colds and viruses we have a saying....
"we are sick and tired of being unwell and sleepy!!!"
It's a funny thing to say but its the truth as we hit another week of one of our treasures being unwell!
Last week it was Hannah, beginning this week it was Sophia and now as of today Zeke has the hot and colds!! OHhh dear it certainly is that time of year!!!!!

On an up side we looked at the Ice Age on Tuesday for History and timeline Tuesday!! It was wonderful, we all had heaps of fun and I've got some cool ideas of what we can do while people are getting their strength back......

Either way we are taking things easy and with the rain outside I think the Ice Age Movies will be rented very soon for some popcorn and movie time!!! Yippee to that!!

Rainy day fun!

Tuesday was a day FULL of rain, in saying that the rest of the week is most to be pretty wet too!! With some yucky bugs going around our home also, we made the most of the indoors and actually had one of the best rainy days in a LONG TIME!!!

 

 

Zeke was busy making some minecraft papercraft, Hannah, Sophia and Esther were mostly painting. Sapphire enjoyed books and games in our specially made (thanks heaps Auntie Carli, sending lots of waves and hugs your way!!!!) cubby that fits over our dinning table (and having sisterly visitors pop in!!) and I made scones!!Any rainy day always calls for a devonshire tea!!

The holidays have been a lot of fun with family down from WA too, so whether RAIN or SHINE the last 2 weeks have been Wonderful!

Rainy day baking {Moustache cookies}

 

 

 

I'm not sure you'd believe it if I told you that we totally had Summer land here on Wednesday and then, over night that was a distant memory with waking up to Winter land!!! We had the fire going, it was cold, VERY COLD and rainy and well, a really great day to enjoy some cooking together and have some fun!!!
So that's what we did! I needed to make some biscuit gifts for my ladies (in my stamp club) so I doubled the batch so the children could have some super yummy "moustache" cookies!!!
My amazingly awesome friend Carli gave me the cutters for these little beauties for my birthday and they are the coolest thing EVER!!!

 

 

 

 

 

What fun there is to be had when you have a moustache bikkie at your lip!!! It sure turned the rainy day into a sunny one (at least in the inside!!!)
